Munger Construction recently completed a 15,000 square foot fit–out of the last space available in the building owned by Fred Petrella and Richard Michaud of CT Realty Group, LLC, located at 1 Commercial Street, in Branford, CT. Previously Munger Construction completed 3 other fit–outs at this same location. This project was completed to house 454 Life Sciences, a biotechnology company specializing in high–throughput DNA sequencing.

This project included a variety of architectural upgrades to the exterior features of the building including windows, entrance canopies and EIFS Systems. Significant interior work was also needed to transform the raw industrial space with block walls, bar joist roof and concrete slab into workable space to house 454 Life Sciences. The scope of work included major mechanical/electrical systems to support Clean Room labs and Class A office space environments. Fit–out also included a back up power generation system to support the company’s gene sequencing machines.
